Was an active worker with First Presbyterian Church.After the death of her husband, she lived on the farm with herdaughter nad her husband, Sue and Newell until her death aat theage of 89. Children of FREDERICK CAMP and MARION FEE are: i.SUSAN MARIA12 CAMP, b. September 20, 1873, Ballibay, PA; d.January 26, 1950, Centralia, WA; m. NEWEL L. WITHROW. Notes forSUSAN MARIA CAMP: Sue came west with the family to Washington.She homesteaded for one year before she married Newell Witherow,who taught school in Yakima, WA. After one year, they moved backto Centralia and later moved back to the farm to help out. Suedied in 1950, a few years aafter moving to town when theproperty was sold. ii. JAMES LUM CAMP, b. October 20, 1874,Ballibay, PA; d. October 01, 1909, Centralia, WA. Notes forJAMES LUM CAMP: James was a conductor for the railroad inArizona, but came home to Centralia when he was ill and helaater died in 1909. iii. HOY ORTON CAMP, b. Lum moved west and claimed property onFord's Prairie, near Centralia, Washington in 1853. Hecontracted arsenic poisoning through his taxidermy work and whenhe died conveyed the land to his brother, Albert Lum. Albertthen invited Frederick T. Camp to take over the house andproperty. Albert left the ranch to Frederick because he had nochildren. Frederick moved to the homestead in 1901. His wife,Marion Fee, and their children came west in 1902. Both Frederickand Marion were in their 50's when they took over the ranch. Itseems a bit late in life to start over, but no one ver heardeither one of them complain of the hard work. Familytransportation was by horse, horse and buggy or walking. Theybought their first car in 1916. Frederick built the barn andbegan farming. They produced potatoes, corn, beef, chickens,eggs and milk. Frederick and Marion were life-longPresbyterians. He was a memeber of CentraliaMasons, Lodge #63.Frederick farmed the ranch until his death.
