Jammie Bennie Camp b: 19 DEC 1867 in Louisiana My great grandfather Jonathan James Camp was Joseph Walter Camp's 3rd cousin. They were both about the same age when they enlisted in the Civil War. We're not sure of Jonathan (J.J.) Camp's exact birthdate, but he was born between 1831 and 1833. He enlisted on March 2, 1862. He was in the Madison Light Artillery from Monroe, La. He surrendered in Linchburg, Va. on April 13, 1865 and was parolled on April 18, 1865. We believe two of his brothers were in the 31st Louisiana Infantry, Robin M. Camp and Franklin M.
