In the name of God amen the third daye of November 1625: & in the first yeere [of the] raigne of our mose grations Soveraigne Lord Charles by the Grace of God of England, Scottland & Ireland King Defender of the Faith
I Thomas Campe of [Nasinge] in the countie of Essex Yeoman being sick in bodie but of very good & perfect remembrance thank God do make & declare this my last will & testament in writing, inprimis I commend my sowle into the hands of allmighte God my creator in hope of resurrection through Jesus Christ my redeemer ( after this transitone life here ended) to be made of his everlasting Kingdom of heaven, and I commit my bodie to the earth whereof to be burryed in Christian buryall in such a place as it shall please God to appoint for me
Concerning such worldly goods as it hath pleased God of his mercy to bestow upon me doe dispose of them as followeth in this my last will,
First I give & bequeath unto William Campe my sonne, my table in the hall my cubbard & one stoole the which were left to me [by] my father, also I give unto the same William my sonne, all my Impliments of Husbandrie all the hewen tymber that I have, with all my bricks & brickbats
Item I give & bequeath unto sara Campe my daughter the sume of six pounds of lawfull money of England, to be payd unto her by my executor (hereafter named) within one yeere next after my decease or at the daye of her marriage or which of them shall first happen or be
Item I give & bequeath unto Mary my daughter the like some of six pounds to be payd to her by my executor within one yeere after my decese or at the day of her marriage or which of them shall happen or bee
Item I give & bequeath unto Elizabeth Campe my daughter the like som of six pounds of like lawfull money to be paid unto her by my sayd executor within one yeere next after my decease or at the day of her marriage or which of them shall first happen or be
Item I give & bequeath unto Liddia Campe my daughter the sume of nine pounds of like lawfull money to be paid to her by my sayd executor at her age of one and twentie yeeres & my will is that my three daughters Sara, Mary & Elizabeth shall in the regard & out of the legacies before & hereafter to them given, pay unto my executor to the use of my yongest daughter Liddia, the sum of 3 pounds, that is to say 20 apiece within one yeare after my decease & my executor to pay the same 3 marks to the said Liddia at her age of 21 yeeres; provided allwayes & my will is that if any of my said daughters doe depart this life before they receive their sayd -------- then my will & trewe meaning is that her or there legacie so deceased the one halfe thereof to be to the use of my executor & the other halfe thereof to be equally devided & payed to the surrvers of my sayd daughters
Item I give & bequeath unto Thomas Campe my sonn all my wollen wearing apparrell & one shirt & twenty shillings in money & I give unto the wife of my sayed sonn Thomas 10 in money to be payd unto them within one month after my decease
I give unto the three children of my sonn Thomas the som of 10 equally to be devided between them to be paid to them by my executor at their age of 21 yeeres
All the rest of my moveable goods corne cattell household stuffe & implements whatsoever I have being not before by me bequeathed I give & bequeath unto Avis my wife [,] Sara, Mary & Elizabeth my three eldest daughters equally to be devided between them immediately after my decease
Item I make & ordaine my sonn William Campe my full & whole executor of this my will, In regard of that trust which I put in him to pay my legacies & see the same performed according to my trew meaning, in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hande & seale the day & yeere above written acknowledging it to be my last will
