Discharged 9 Jul 1861, Camp Big Spring, Miss.Discharged rank of Sergeant. by order of General Hatlick.?contributed by Marjorie Thompson Pension Records of The Civil War Army Of the United States, Certificate of Disability for Discharge Myron Camp a Sergeant of Captain Harvy Nevill Company, H of the twenty Second Regiment of United States Volunteer was enlisted by Capt Frances Swanwick of the 22ndRegiment of Illinois at Belville Illinois on the eleventh day of June 1861, to serve three years; he was born in Herrick Bedford in the State of Pennsylvania is twenty six years of age, five feet 7 3/4 inches high, Light complexion, Blue eyes, Dark hair,and by occupation when enlisted a Carpenter. During the last two months said soldier has been unfit for duty because of chronic diarhea. The disease commenced at Bird's Point, MO., in the summer of 1861 and I suppose was caused by the causes set forth i n the Surgeon's cerificate to which he was necessarily exposed I think will be entitled to a pension. Station: Camp Big Springs Mis dated June 25-- 1862. Signed Capt Harvy Nevill. I cerify,that I have carefully examined the said Myron Camp of Capt Nevill's Company, and find him incapable of performing the duties of a soldier because of (here consult par. 1134, p 245,and directions on Form 12 p. 269, Med. Dept. Gen. Reg.) Chronic Diarrhea. The disease commenced at Bird's Point Mo. in the summer of 1861, and was caused by the climate and othe run healthy influences to which he was necessarily exposed.
